I have been a member of Queens since 1980 and retired in 2014 from Consumers Energy. Our daughter went to Queens school, JCMS, and graduated from Lumen Christi. My wife Joyce and I have been married 53 years. I am Treasurer and Board member of Jackson’s Birthline Pregnancy and Parenting Center.
Parish Involvement
I have participated in a number of parish activities at Queens over the years. While our daughter attended Queens, I was a member of the Men’s Club. I have been on the Parish Life Commission several years. I am also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 609, Eucharistic Minister, and Lector. The key for me has been to be active in these parish organizations that enrich the Queens parish.
Favorite Bible Verse
My favorite Bible verse is from Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
My Hope for the Future I hope that Queens continues to grow with new members and new activities to involve our parishioners and community. Our parish is a light to the community and through the commitment of our current and new members, we can become a brighter light on the road to heaven, letting our good works shine before others.
