Faith Formation Classes will begin Sunday, August 30, 2026!
With the new school year right around the corner, it is time to think about registration for our Sunday morning Faith Formation classes. Classes are available for public school and/or home school children in grades Preschool (3 1/2 – young 5’s) through 8th grade. If needed, there is also a special class for children participating in the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (adapted for children.) Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation are part of the Faith Formation curriculum. Sunday morning Faith Formation is mandatory for public school students preparing for sacraments: 2nd grade for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, and 8th grade for Confirmation. Although not currently mandatory, enrollment in 1st grade is a highly recommended option as preparation for second grade sacramental preparation, as is 7th grade to prepare for Confirmation. Our first day of classes will be August 30, 2026. Classes will be held in Queens school from 10:30-11:45 every Sunday, with occasional Sundays off during the school year.
Our Faith Formation calendar includes several special events, including an All Saints Day party, a May crowning and the ever popular end of the year Family Fun Fest for the entire parish. Parents are asked to attend the first session with their student on August 30 for a parent information meeting. Parents are also invited to join their children on a few other occasions throughout the year for special activities. During the seasons of Thanksgiving/Christmas and Lent, there will be opportunities to participate in charitable giving projects.

You may also pay online using the same form, or if you would like pay at the parish office or the first day of Faith Formation, please select “offline payment.” There will also be hardcopy registration forms available on the first day of Faith Formation. Financial assistance is available, as well as the option of participating in our Tuition Reduction Program (TRIP) to help defray the costs.
