Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults process to begin again in September, 2021

Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church will soon begin sessions to share with others the truths of the Catholic faith and to offer the fellowship of our church family.  We invite you to learn what Catholics believe in an open and welcoming environment.

Jesus invited His apostles to “come and see” who He was. That is exactly what the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is all about– an invitation to “come and see” who Jesus is and what the Church He founded has to offer.  Beginning the RCIA process does not in any way obligate someone to become Catholic; rather, it is a forum where questions can be asked and beliefs explored in a safe, no-strings-attached environment.  Decisions about becoming Catholic do not have to be made until much later in the process.

The RCIA is intended for:

  • Those who have never been baptized
  • Christians from Protestant denominations seeking the fulness of faith
  • People who were baptized Catholic but never received any other sacraments (or faith formation growing up.)

Sessions for adults will be held on Wednesday evenings in Seton Hall from 6:30-8:15. Seton Hall is located in the basement of the parish offices, 606 S. Wisner St.  Additionally, we offer classes for teens and children ages 7-12. Classes for children 7-12 meet during Sunday Faith Formation time (10:15-11:45 Sunday mornings.) Teen classes will be scheduled as we become aware of the need.

Our first adult class (an information session) will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 6:30 in Seton Hall.   For more information, please contact Betsy Koval at bkoval@queenschurch.com, or call the parish office at 783-2748.
