FOUR MORE!

Though nearly 30 people were received into the Catholic Church during the Queens Easter Vigil on Saturday March 30, 4 people from the RCIA were missing for one reason or another.  They will be received into the Church at the Noon Mass THIS Sunday April 21st.  At that Mass we will also celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Women’s Guild.  The noon Mass will be more crowded than usual and it will last longer also.   It will feature different readings than the others also, in keeping with the rites for adult baptism and reception into full communion with the church.

QUEENS LADIES GUILD
90TH ANNIVERSARY (1934-2024)

Forgive the photo, I couldn’t resist!  All kidding aside, we do want to recognize the Ladies Guild for all that they have done and continue to do for the good of the parish, the school and the community.

The Guild currently has over 100 active members spread across 15 circles, with a new one forming this fall.  Every woman of Queens is considered a member of the Guild, now we just have to get more to become active in circles.

Each circle does charitable fundraising and most of that money is used either to beautify our Church or do good where help is most needed in and around Jackson.

We will honor the Guild at the noon Mass this Sunday and we congratulate them on this milestone achievement.  I personally want to thank them for all the many good things they do here, from church cleaning to linen laundering, washing the server robes, hosting receptions, they never tell me “no.”  May God continue to bless the Queens Ladies Guild.

THE JACKSON WEEKEND MASS SURVEY
LINK ACTIVE UNTIL TUESDAY APRIL 30

As of April 19th, we have received 945 surveys from the Jackson parishes, more than half of them come from Queens.  If you have not completed the survey, you have until April 30th to do so.

You can use the link below or scan the QR code.  It takes a very short amount of time to complete.  Paper copies will be available the parish office during the week or in the elevator entrance of Church after Mass.  Paper copies can be turned in at the parish office or placed in the collection basket.  I can’t emphasize enough how important it is that each person only fill out ONE (1) survey.

The pastors hope to announce any revisions that will be made during the month of May, with a revised and reduced Jackson Grouping Mass schedule going into effect the weekend of July 6-7, 2024.

THANK YOU TO ALL DSA DONORS!
2024 QUEENS DSA IS NOW OVER GOAL

Thank you to our 500 Queens DSA donors for 2024!  Just the other day, I signed over 100 letters going out to those who gave last year who have yet to make their DSA gift for 2024.

All DSA gifts should be sent to the parish office or placed in the offertory at Mass.  Please do not send them directly to Lansing.  Checks should be made payable to ‘Queens/DSA.’  Those who wish to pay by credit card can make a secure online donation in a variety of ways – go to the parish website (queenschurch.com), the diocesan website (dioceseoflansing.org/dsa), or follow the link below.  On pledge cards, if you identify a credit card gift, you will still be asked for your e-mail and the DSA office of the Catholic Foundation will send you a link to enter your credit card information securely online.
