ADVENT BEGINS THIS WEEKEND COME, LORD JESUS
|
Winter Storms cannot prevent the Advent of our King! The new liturgical year starts this weekend with the First Sunday of Advent.
Thank you to our daily Mass crowd and the Guild who helped to put out the new Breaking Bread hymnals for our use. For those who would like a copy of the old hymnals they are on a table outside Vincentian Hall. Take as many as you like. DO NOT take the new ones from the pews!
Free copies of the Advent Magnificat Companion are available after Mass this weekend. Please – one copy per household.
You can also get into the Christmas Spirit this Sunday by visiting the Guild’s Annual Nativity Walk in Vincentian Hall after Mass. Dozens of nativity scenes from around the world will be on display.

The Lumen Christi Titans take on the Kingsley Stags at Ford Field at 4pm today. I had to look it up. Kinglsey is a town of 1,400 people in Paradise Township, south of Traverse City. The two Father Tim’s will be there along with thousands of others from Jackson to cheer on our champions! We congratulate the coaches, the team and their families on another great season.

HOLY DAY ON THE HORIZON MONDAY DECEMBER 8 IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
|
Monday December 8th is the Immaculate Conception, the patronal feast of the Catholic Church in the United States. It is also a holy day of obligation. Queens will have Masses at 6:45am 9am and 5:30pm. The Immaculate Conception commemorates our belief that Mary was chosen from before her birth and conceived without sin in the womb of her mother St. Anne, all in preparation to be the first tabernacle where Jesus, the ‘Word Made Flesh’ could dwell among us.

DECEMBER 13 – 14 COFFEE AND DONUTS & HOLY LAND OLIVE WOOD GIFTS SALE
|
The Queens Online Giving Hub is a great way for you to channel your charitable giving to the place or cause you want your money to support. By clicking the link below, you can see the various causes we support as a parish and partner with us to make a gift of your own. You can donate toward St. Vincent de Paul or the Jackson Community Food Pantry, youth and young adult ministry (new link added), and even the prison bible fund. 200 bibles were distributed to Jackson inmates in 2025 thanks to your generosity and we just ordered 200 more so we need to replenish that fund also.

Truth, beauty and goodness are found in God, in His mercy, and in the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church founded by His son.
