Tonight we begin our 50 day celebration of Jesus’ Great triumph over darkness and death.  A Happy Easter to you all!  Please join us for Mass.  Tonight at 9pm is the most important and intricate Mass of the entire year – The Vigil in the Night of Easter.  11 people will be received into the Church.  Welcome to them all and we congratulate them on this milestone.

Many people did not get the memo about different Mass times for Palm Sunday. The same problem will happen tomorrow on Easter if people do not remember.  The Mass schedule is changed due to longer Masses and needing more time to empty out the church and the parking lot between Masses.

For tomorrow only, Easter Sunday April 9th – Masses are at 8am, 10am and noon

There is NO Mass at 7:30, 9:00 or 10:30.   The regular Mass schedule resumes April 15-16.

Don’t forget the Community Wide Dinner at 2pm tomorrow.  Shifts are still available for set up, serving and clean up.  Many hands make light work.  If you don’t sign up, just show up, and we will put you to work.  If you have no one to spend Easter with, come be with us!

The Divine Mercy Novena continues.  Join us for the Regional Divine Mercy Observance at St. Joseph Oratory on Waterloo St. at 2:30pm on Sunday April 16th.  This is not a Mass.  There will be adoration, confessions and the sung chaplet.  In a world filled with hate, we need to seek and to share the divine mercy of Jesus.

Easter reminds us that there is no problem God cannot solve.  Jesus has come to free us from death and fear.  Once freed from the fear of death, we no longer need to be afraid to live.  We all have crosses to bear.  They are many and they are heavy.  If we stand beside Jesus at Calvary, he will share with us his great victory and tell us:  “This day you will be with me in paradise.”

HE IS RISEN.  DEATH IS CONQUERED.
