Charleston Klein is a fourth grader in our school. He will turn ten years old this Friday. Charleston is battling Batten Disease, a very cruel disease that robs children of their eyesight and wreaks havoc on their body. Charles' mother, Jo, is asking us all to pray the rosary for her son today, Monday, November 18, as he begins new clinical medical trials with experimental treatments and medicines that could arrest the progress of the disease and spare his life. Charleston believes he will be the miracle that makes Blessed Solanus Casey a saint. Join us today in prayer for our young friend!

If you have been abused or victimized by someone representing the Catholic Church, we encourage you to come forward and speak out. Each diocese in the United States has a victim assistance coordinator who can obtain support for your needs, help make a formal complaint of abuse to the diocese, and arrange a personal meeting with the bishop or his representative, if you desire. The victim assistance coordinator for the Diocese of Lansing is: Cheryl Williams-Hecksel, 888.308.6252 or VAC@dioceseoflansing.org . In addition, you may also report through the law enforcement toll-free reporting hotline at 844.324.3374 (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or by email at aginvestigations@michigan.gov.
Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent, Never to be passive, Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, And never to stop defending life Until all my brothers and sisters are protected, And our nation once again becomes A nation with liberty and justice Not just for some, but for all, Through Christ our Lord. Amen!
